Local markets have always, and still are, an incredibly important presence for us. In fact, the incarnation of our first flour water salt shop in Bowral ten years ago came about from doing the Bowral Farmer's Market (with two very young children in tow!). We'd sell out in a few hours with many customers telling us - 'open in Bowral!' so we did. Still to the day, we see regular faces from that very market in store.
Markets are a wonderful way to be part of a thriving and industrious scene of local producers, farmers and makers. Where you can, please support local Farmers' markets - it's an opportunity for you as a consumer to really connect with the producer and get to learn where your food is coming from. Plus you are supporting small business. Win Win!
